Pomerene School District screens children in our district ages two years, ten and a half months through 21 years to check your child's development and academic progress. Screening and evaluation are free. All information contained in the screening or evaluation is confidential.

Kartchner Caverns State Park
Discovered in 1974 but kept a secret from most for many years, Kartchner Caverns State Park opened to the public in 1999. This protected, “living cave with rooms filled with beautiful formations” is a pristine cavern just outside of our town. Today visitors come from all parts of the world to witness the extraordinary variety of colors and formations.
The Lantern Festival
Come together with individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life to join in this spectacular annual event. Enjoy music, dancing, food, and beverages. When the time is just right, you will light the sky with your highest hopes, deepest regrets, and fondest dreams. It will be a night you’ll never forget. City Pool
Come swim for a day or purchase a summer pass. The Benson City Pool is 25 yards long with a depth range of three to five feet. Visitors and residents enjoy a variety of aquatics programs such as adult lap swim, Friday night game nights, and “dive-in” movies.
